SnowTrex, specialist tour operator for ski holidays, continues its internationalisation. Previous winter the company initially launched the Russian sales website. The feedback was highly positive and with these results the offer will be expanded for the coming winter season.
SnowTrex has been internationalising consequently for some years now. Besides the websites and sales channels for Western Europe, there are further Internet pages for the countries Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. During the past winter season www.snowtrex.ru was initially launched to web – successfully. Kathrin Lösgen, SnowTrex Marketing Director, explains: “The Russian website not only generates bookings from Russia, but also from other countries, such as the Ukraine and Lithuania.” Exact figures are withheld, due to competitive reasons.
The company is highly satisfied with the successful testing of the Russian Internet page: “Our Russian website has started as a real success. For this coming winter season we will be having two Russian native speakers in our customer service centre”, reports Mrs Lösgen. Including the Russian website, the Cologne-based company now offers winter sports holidays sold in 16 languages.
The TravelTrex GmbH recorded 106,000 travellers and 33.5 million euro revenue in the tourism year 2010/2011. In the company headquarters in Cologne SnowTrex has approx. 100 members of staff working under one roof. With its winter brand “SnowTrex” the company has developed market leadership for ski holidays in the European region and offers a continuously expanding portfolio with more than 200 destinations and 1,200 accommodations in nearly all European mountain ranges, as well as the USA. With the brand “HolidayTrex” the company offers holidays all year round. Via the websites www.snowtrex.com and www.holidaytrex.com as well as via the call centres (both available in 16 languages) TravelTrex offers its holidays in the whole of Europe. However the company does not only concentrate on direct sales, but also cooperates with more than 600 active booking pages on the Internet, as well as travel agents and other renowned sales affiliates from within and outside the holiday sector.
